Stanza 1.

The breath of Spring is gratefu',
  As mild it sweeps alang;
Awaukening bud an' blossom,
  The broomy braes amang;
And wafting notes of gladness,
  Fra ilka bower and tree,
Yet the bonnie Redesdale lassie
  Is sweeter still to me.
