“Daniel in the Lion's Den”

Description

"Among the Jewish captives one Daniel there was found." Daniel's piety is renowned. His enemies cause the King to demand that all people worship only the King for 30 days. Daniel does not, is thrown to the lions -- and survives

Notes

This is too accurate to be folk song. (Too bad there was no king called Darius the Mede, so the whole section in Daniel is demonstrably historically inaccurate.) This is a dull but correct retelling of the events in Daniel 6. - RBW
